DIY: Decorate Your Own Canvas Bag!
Hey there, Green Heroes! 🌱
Today’s Plastic-Free Challenge is super fun and super creative:
Let’s swap those yucky plastic bags for cool, colorful, reusable totes! 🎉
Plastic bags might seem handy, but they’re really bad for our Earth.
They:
Fly around like ghosts and litter the streets
Harm turtles, birds, and fish who mistake them for food 🐢
Take hundreds of years to break down—yikes!
But guess what? You can help by saying “No thanks!” to plastic and “Yes, please!” to reusable bags.
It’s a strong bag made of cloth, canvas, or even old T-shirts! You can use it again and again—for groceries, library books, toys, or even beach snacks. 🏖️
Want to make your reusable bag extra awesome? Here’s a fun DIY project you can do at home!
A plain canvas bag (or recycle an old pillowcase!)
Fabric markers or paint 🎨
Stencils, sponges, or stamps (optional)
Imagination and a little messiness 😄
Lay your bag flat on a table (ask an adult to help if needed).
Use your markers or paint to draw your favorite animals, plants, or Earth-saving messages like:
“Go Green!” 🌍
“I Love Sea Turtles” 🐢
“This Bag Hates Plastic” 🚫
Let it dry completely (this is a great time for a dance party).
Show off your eco-art the next time you go shopping!
Make one for a friend and help spread the message. The more reusable bags in the world, the fewer plastic ones we need!
🎉 You just turned a simple bag into a planet-saving masterpiece. Go you!!
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s challenge, and keep being kind to our planet. 🌎💚

🌍🍃 Every year on World Nature Conservation Day, people around the world take time to celebrate something we all depend on, nature. From the air we breathe and the water we drink to the forests, oceans, and wildlife that make Earth amazing, nature provides everything we need to survive and thrive.
Did you know that something as small as a plastic bag can have a huge impact on the planet? Every year, people around the world recognize International Plastic Bag Free Day, a day that encourages everyone to think about how often we use plastic bags and how we can make better choices for our Earth.
Father's Day is a special time to celebrate the parents, guardians, grandparents, and father figures who encourage us, support us, and help us grow. While gifts and cards are wonderful ways to show appreciation, some of the best Father's Day memories are made by simply spending time together.
