Dr. Robert Bullard: The Man Who Fights for Clean Air and Water for Everyone

How to Explain His Impact to Kids:
Imagine if some neighborhoods had clean parks and fresh air, but others had trash everywhere and dirty water to drink. That wouldn’t be fair, right? Everyone deserves a safe and clean place to live.

Dr. Robert Bullard works to make sure that ALL people, no matter where they live, have clean air and water. He noticed that some communities—especially Black and low-income neighborhoods—had more pollution, making people sick. So, he spoke up and worked with leaders to make laws that protect those communities.

How Kids Can Learn from Dr. Bullard Today:

  • Pick up litter when you see it.

  • Ask questions about how we can keep our air and water clean.

  • Speak up when you see something unfair!
