Through initiatives like the Bronx Greenway and Hunts Point Riverside Park, she transformed neglected urban spaces into vibrant, green oases, promoting access to nature and improving quality of life for residents. Carter's innovative approach to community development demonstrates the power of grassroots activism in creating sustainable, equitable cities.
